Who We Are

On Aug. 27, Hurricane Laura, a historically powerful category-4 storm packing winds of 150 miles per hour, slammed into the southwestern Louisiana Gulf Coast, devastating cities and towns from Cameron to Shreveport. The death toll continues to rise throughout the state and the insured losses from the storm are estimated to be between $8 billion and $12 billion.

Following a successful fundraising effort for our first responders amid the COVID-19 pandemic, the Al Copeland Foundation and the team at “Be A Hero. Thank a Hero” are ready to utilize their channels and supply chains to deliver essential items to the people impacted in the area who need them most.

The Al Copeland Foundation is partnering with suppliers, businesses and restaurants to deliver hot meals, essential items, and supplies to our neighbors to the west.
